Starting on Thursday 19th November and thereafter every 3rd Thursday of the month, from 8.30pm onwards. Its any sort of music, poetry, any type of performance.

Appalachian concert at St. Catherine's Church, Ventnor - Wednesday 11th November, 8pm
Riley Bagus (whose singing featured on Anthony Minghella's film, Cold Mountain) and Ira Bernstein from America will be performing trad dance, song and instrumentals with old-tyme banjo and fiddle featuring.

A GP on Isle of Wight… an award winning bagpiper…7-foot 7inches in his Busby… It must be Piping Hot Doc … and his new CD out soon is not just the bagpipes but a contemporary mix of bagpipe music with violin, guitar, keyboard, vocals and even rock music…and it’s all in aid of The Earl Mountbatten Hospice, with support from Alan Titchmarsh.

Smoke and Mirrors - Gig on Sunday 6th December
Isle of Wight folk rock band, Smoke and Mirrors, has just announced that they are holding a charity concert on Sunday December 6th - for the Missing People charity (part of Lucie Blackman Trust). Tickets are only £5-00 and available from Ryde Castle Hotel and Isle of Wight Radio in person, or ring 01983 565112.

2009 is the 100th anniversary of the Poetry Society and the Island Stanza (members on the Isle of Wight) are celebrating at Quay Arts with a festival of poetry, readings and the prizewinners of Island Voices the first national poetry competition on the Island. All welcome.
